This July, as we observe National Black Family Month, we reaffirm our commitment to championing the enrichment of families through education, health, and self-improvement. Established in 2006, this special month calls us to celebrate the profound strength, enduring resilience, and rich heritage of Black families, which serve as the bedrock of our communities. It's a time to engage in meaningful reflection, and commit to investing in and inspiring our younger generations.


We are including on insights into the financial landscape for Black families in California, highlighting both challenges and areas where focused investment can make a significant difference. The ability of families to thrive is deeply connected to their economic security, encompassing both the assets they possess and the debts they manage. To deepen our collective understanding and inform strategic action, we are spotlighting data on Black wealth, assets, debts, and opportunities for investment.
